Experience
Phillip Kalsched began his legal career in San Francisco as a litigation
lawyer, where he handled complex business and real estate matters. He
later founded a real estate development company that developed and
operated a state-of-the-art golf practice center, located in south San
Jose.
Pursuing his interest in real estate development
and general business transactions, he joined CMPR in 1998. He
practices as a business transactions lawyer with an emphasis in real
estate and financing. He has particular experience in complex real
property and portfolio acquisitions, and the disposition of loans and
real property. Mr. Kalsched has additional experience in wine law;
intellectual property, including trademarks and electronic commerce; and
the formation, organization and dissolution of corporations,
partnerships and limited liability companies. He has further experience
in international business transactions, including trade and distribution
and is a member of the International Law and Business Law Sections of
the American Bar Association. Mr. Kalsched is fluent in French.
Mr. Kalsched is involved with various civic
organizations in Sonoma County and has lectured at Sonoma State
University on the topic of international distribution of wine.
